Curling Vine Chime

Curling Vine Chime

from 18.00

A chime with the curling bronze wire at each end. Made by Janmamad Luhar in the Kutchchi desert region of western India. Each bell is first beaten into shape by hand, then buried under the hot desert sand in a kiln. This age-old technique of metal-work is what gives each piece its unique patina and tone.

The medium-sized version of this chime has five desert bells and is approximately 20″ in length.

The smaller version of our curling vine chime has three desert bells and is approximately 13″ in length.
